"What does it mean to be a holistic breeder?"
It involves raising, caring for, and ethically breeding dogs in a way that mirrors how they lived in the wild before domestication. This includes feeding a species-appropriate raw diet, allowing them to live in a pack environment on clean ground, with access to fresh air, sunshine, pure drinking water, and ample exercise. Additionally, natural methods such as homeopathy, essential oils, herbs, and supplements are used for both preventative and veterinary care.
"What is a raw diet?"
A raw diet for dogs consists of feeding them uncooked, whole foods that closely mimic what their ancestors would have eaten in the wild. This typically includes raw meat, bones, organs, and small amounts of fruits and vegetables. A raw diet is important because it provides dogs with a species-appropriate, nutrient-rich diet that supports optimal health. By avoiding processed kibble, which often contains fillers, preservatives, and artificial ingredients, a raw diet promotes better digestion, healthier skin and coats, stronger immune systems, and improved dental health. It also aligns with a dog’s natural biological needs, fostering overall well-being.
"What happens while the puppy is with you?"
In the first 8 weeks, our curriculm guides puppies through structured development to foster confidence and adaptability. It includes Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS), Early Scent Introduction (ESI), socialization with new sights, sounds and people, problem-solving, and early crate and potty training. Puppies also learn basic manners, providing a strong foundation for emotional stability and smooth transitions to their new homes.
"How does the selection process work?"
Selecting puppies for families is a personalized process. We get to know you through a detailed phone call and then we match puppies to families based on their lifestyle, goals, kids, other pets and preferences, ensuring each puppy is placed in a home where they will thrive and form a strong bond with their new family. We like to guide on what we have observed for 6 weeks but ultimately the choice is yours!
